The current spell of indian summer has generated a few more record

The summerlike weather continues as southwesterly winds around a
large high pressure ridge stalled over the Appalachians continues to
draw up warm air from the southern states.
Quite a few new record maximum temperatures were set Thursday as
shown in the table below. This time it was wiartons turn to be the
warmest with a maximum of 21.5 degrees.
Many other localities across southern and eastern Ontario came
within a couple degrees of record maximum temperatures.
Quite a change though is on tap beginning Friday. The high
Pressure ridge will finally give way to a cold front that will
Swing through later Friday and Friday night heralding a significant
cooling trend to more typical late fall weather conditions this
weekend.
